Mario Kart 8 Deluxe for Switch has a staggering 94 Metascore! I love it, I give it a 96!
Amazing the Nintendo's Switch first two first-party games, Zelda Breath of the Wild and Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, have mid-90's Metascores! I have played over 300 hours of Zelda, and still love going back to play! Mario Kart 8 Deluxe is a gem of a game. Looks as amazing if not better than it's Wii U counter-part, but what's great is that it's portable, plays great portably, can play 2-players on same portable Switch using 2 joy-cons and looks mind-blowing on 70" HD screen! The battle mode is simply AWESOME, especially the new Renegade Roundup and Shine Thief modes! Especially when you play these two modes in the Splatoon inspired battle arenas, you get that crazy, addictive gameplay feeling when you play Splatoon's fantastic RANKED LEVELS. Out of the 5 battle modes, these two modes alone make it worth getting the Switch version! More karts, more characters, great use of Amiibo, solid online (except the fact that you still can't voice chat. Yes, Nintendo says this is coming, but, this should have been ready with launch of their biggest online title of the year. If this was ready, I would have given Mario Kart 8 Deluxe a perfect score!) If you never owned this game, an absolute MUST BUY (only $48 Amazon Prime). If you own the Wii U version and have a Switch, trade, sell you version for $30 or more and use the cash to get this fantastic upgrade!)
