On October 10, 2017, Nintendo of America revealed live it's unique, colorful "Mario Odyssey" trailer for the world to see! (video here!) I was there live, got to play the amazing game, got cool swag too! Game comes out Oct 27, 2017 only on Nintendo Switch!
I also got to meet Krysta from Nintendo Minute and we both watched together this big, amazing reveal!
I love my Switch. And I love everything Mario! And, I love tactical turn-based games like Paper Mario, Fire Emblem, Advanced Wars! So, at E3, when I played the demo to the new tactical turn-based adventure Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle, I started to salivate!
Check out the new "Mario-centric" trailer for this game above! Then stand-by soon for my review! The game launches at stores everywhere and digital download August 29, 2017!
As mentioned in previous post, I love Splatoon. Played it to death.
When Splatoon 2 came out, I played it the second I received it, loving everything about it.
Then, several hours into the night, I (we) got a call to do a part-time job from some dude named Grizzo to harness some golden eggs.
Enter Salmon Run.
And, once I started playing, I never looked back. I played the HELL out of Salmon Run for over 20 hours the first couple of day, knowing the limited time we had to play it. And I will say this: I am not sure I have had this much fun in gaming for many years. Playing Salmon Run is fun, magical, additive chaotic madness.
I am not going to describe the rules of the game. That you can learn by simply playing it or looking at youtube video in previous post.
I will say that most everything is perfect about the game. Some complain that changing out the weapons, randomly giving to each player each round is crazy, unfair. I love it. It forces you to use and learn...
I'm a Splatoon addict. Have logged over 700 hours in the original 4 x 4 paint ball-like shooter created by the master-minds of Nintendo. Everything about this game, from the creative concepts of the game-play, to the colorful lol humor of the writing and art-direction, was (is!) perfect. How can they top this?
5 WORDS: Splatoon 2 and SALMON RUN
Last night I got my copy of Splatoon 2, jumped right in, frantically played the newly designed turf-war levels, working hard to get myself up to level 10 to be able to play the even more addictive RANKED LEVEL modes. Then, I received a notification on my screen that some dude named GRIZZO wanted to speak to me about some part time work. Hmmmmm. Curiosity set in.
This is when I entered Salmon Run, and, 12 hours later, I have played nothing else on Splatoon 2. Why? Because Salmon Run is a pure work of creative and game-play design genius, where 4 random persons online (or 2-4 local players) work toget...
Saturday July 15, Nintendo was kind enough to give all Switch owners a 4-hour free opportunity to play the fantastically addictive Splatoon 2! And it didn't disappoint!
I picked team Ice Cream, played for 4 hours, and Ice Cream melted Team cake 2-1! The game plays smooth, fast, and yes, you will scream at you TV screen! Based on the Splatfest alone, Splatoon 2 is a 10/10 for me!
Splatoon 2 launched Friday July 21, and, I will be playing this minute one as soon as it's released (yes, I put over 700 hours in the original Splatoon, which I have dubbed GAME OF THE DECADE)
If you can get your hands on a Switch, do it ASAP if not just for this game (of course, Zelda Breath of the Wild, Mario Kart 8 and the upcoming Mario Odyssey are reasons alone to get it!)
After obsessing with my Nintendo Switch since March 3rd, playing the amazing Zelda Breath of the Wild, hundreds of hours of Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, the clever, “just one more fight” Arms, Switch eshop gems like Snake Pass and Tumbleseed, the kind folks at Nintendo presented me with a review code for a Nintendo 3DS game called Ever Oasis.
And boy am I so happy they did!
Now understand, my 3DS has been a tad dusty, plugged into a charger, looking on in jealously at it’s new big baby brother Switch getting all the love. Don’t get me wrong, the 3DS is still a bit of a charmer for me: I carried it on my journey to E3 gaming Expo this year, still addicted to collecting street passes with my number one obsession being to collect all 366 birthdays (yes I got leap year!) in the uber-obsessive Street Pass birthday game (I am at 349/366 now, after several years playing this). My 3DS has also been anxiously awaiting the new Pikmin 2D platformer game coming end of July called Hey! Pikimin...
